Preserving The Traditional Look
For those homeowners who truly
wish to preserve the historical look and character of their home,
there is the traditional wood storm windows.
The wood storm windows can
come in either pine or close grain fir. Pine is standard
and is much more affordable than fir which is also available. Types
of finishes are natural (you stain) or primer white for painting.
All wood storm
windows come with 1/8" single pane, double strength annealed
glass. For added insulating values, a hard LowE coating is
available from the factory. This LowE coating helps to retain
heat in the winter and to block heat out in the summer.
To further help
maintain the historical look, traditional storm window hangers are
used. The storm windows are extremely easy to mount /
remove and are secured on the inside bottom with a latch hook and
eyebolt.
